Ardent Enthusiasts

This picture was taken about two weeks ago in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We didn't stick around long enough to see someone taking aim at a "freak." A similar booth was set up at Coney Island and yet no freak in sight. It's most likely someone dressed up like Chewbacca.
Moving along from freaks, The The Decemberists are back in the studio with Producer Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) at the helm. (link). "The new album, most likely wrought with nautical imagery is due out around February/March of next year. Additionally, the band is finishing up an EP featuring two songs entitled "Sunshine" and "Everything I Try to do, Nothing Seems to Turn Out Right" recorded during the Her Majesty." This make three albums released within a 3 year period. The Decemberists will head out on a brief west coast tour in September with various bands such as the Pixies, Xiu Xiu and others. The Decemberists gang on tour as much as another Aeki Tuesday favorite, Rilo Kiley.

Rilo Kiley is featured as part of NPR's Summer Music Preview where RK perfoms Does He Love You (which is compared to The Beatles She's Leaving Home). Their official site has posted fall dates:
