Hot For The Thermals

Yesterday, we caught The Thermals play at the Mercury Lounge. They played a 30 minute set and didn't dwadle after playing each song. That's our kind of band. They will play at Northsix tonight with The Natural History. Tickets are still available.

Mercury Lounge might be our top 5 venues in NYC. The setting is perfect. We like that there's a separate bar area where you can hang before entering the stage. The Bowery Ballroom is by far the best venue in NYC. Coolfer seems to agree on this.

We didn't stick around for The Panther's or The Hold Steady's set. We headed to the West Village and enjoyed great falafels at Mamoun's Falafel Restaraunt. If you haven't been there we suggest you go. Now. How can you beat $2 falafels that taste like heaven?
