Small Rant Friday

Last night, we met up with Cameron, Kristina and Candice to attend the Diesel-U-Music Awards. We couldn't believe the amount of hipsters who showed up for this thing. We swear there must have been at least 500. After standing in the ticket holding line for over 50 minutes, we were told that they have reached maximum capacity and that we should get our asses home. What irritated us the most was being only a few feet away from the doors before they gave us that perky message. After waiting for another 20 minutes, we left proclaiming never to wear Diesel clothing (for a few months anyway).

A few things that could have made this night run smoothly:

• Do not give out a gazillion free tickets that has plus ones.
  
• Do not have a RSVP list with a gazillion people on it.
  
• Do not have a "Press" list with a gazillion people on it.
  
• Do not book a place that could easily break fire codes because YOU printed a gazillion free tickets for your event.
  
• Given out free gifts to disappointed mob who HAD tickets but were told to go away.

That should just about cover it.
