Gum Blondes
Some people have way too much time on their hands. To your left is a portrait of Britney Spears made out of chewed gum. Artist Jason Kronenwald started making "Gum Blondes" since 1996.
According to the bio from Gum Blondes, each Gum Blonde is 100% chewed bubblegum on a plywood backing. No paint or dye is used. The colour is inherent to the gum - the mixing of colour takes place inside the mouth during chewing using an endless variety of flavors made by an endless variety of companies. Kronenwald has a dedicated team of chewers and prefers the texture of Trident. However, he does not chew gum himself unless he must.
Send him your suggestions. We think he should do this Britney Spears portrait next. What do you think?
