Minimoguls

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will be the first pair of twins to ever receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. We're surprised that Jessica Blueprint isn't all over this. The mighty minimoguls who are no longer supposed to be referred to as "the Olsen Twins," according to their publicist, expect to appear at about noon on Thursday in front of the Kodak Theatre, where the Academy Awards are now held each year. Since we can't call them the Olsen Twins, what name then? M-K & A Unit?

While we figure out a proper name for them, be sure to pick up this Friday's issue of People Magazine because they were just named "The 50 Most Beautiful People in the World 2004," with cover girl Jennifer Aniston and her husband, Brad Pitt, among them. (link CNN)

The girls will prepare for the rigors of academia this fall as NYU freshman class of 2008. Here's what the girls had to say:

"There has always been a great system in place for us, so that we could remain involved in our business and still stay focused on school. I don't expect that to change when we are in New York at college." - Mary-Kate Olsen

"I feel like I already have a masters in business." - Ashley Olsen

Slow down, Ashley. You didn't graduate yet and Mary-Kate let's hope you won't grace the pages of Gawker or Whatevs while being "focused" with your new boy toy.

The great system that Mary-Kate speaks of is their company Dualstar. Dualstar has already purchased office space near their residence, so the corporate executives will be able to continue to work between classes. It is currently being refurnished. While in school, the sisters will be enrolled in a specialized program that allows them to choose much of their own curriculum, though the expected majors of film and business might not be in their futures.

They will host SNL's season finale, May 15. Someone please send Jimmy Fallon a memo about their age again. They will not be 18 until June, Fallon.
