New Music Release Tuesday | Fiona Apple Tracks!

Aeki Tuesday is pretty excited about the following new releases listed below.

Doves
Some Cities | Capitol

Album player

Dove's Some Cities is released today. It's released on double, heavyweight vinyl LP, standard CD, CD/DVD set in a card 'digi-pack' and a very special, linen-bound box set featuring the CD and DVD (with same content as the digi) plus exclusive artwork and poster.

Death Cab for Cutie
The John Byrd EP | Barsuk

This is the new 7-track CD-EP. It features live tracks from the 2004 Transatlanticism Spring Tour. It was recorded by DCfC's touring sound guy, John Byrd and Chris Walla. There's a never-before-released cover of Sebadoh's Brand New Love.

Track listing: we laugh indoors / why you'd want to live here / lightness / photobooth / we looked like giants / 405 / blacking out the friction/brand new love

Mars Volta
Frances The Mute | Universal

Album Samples

The album has only five tracks, but goes on for around an hour. The album drops today and there's a much needed trip to the record store after work.

Solomon Burke
Make Do With What You Got | Shout Factory

Solomon Burke, one of the most powerful voices in soul, offers this new release. His last album Don't Give Up On Me was on heavy rotation on our iTunes player for 2 years. Solomon went on to win his first Grammy (Best Contemporary Blues Album) and high praise not only from the music press. A quote from Fortune Magazine: "This is more than a comeback album. This is music that can save your life.” So naturally we are equally thrilled with his new release.

FIONA APPLE NEWS: It seems that Indie 107.7FM The End in Seattle started playing tracks from Fiona Apple's unreleased album last week. This week 5 tracks are floating online. Go here to download those tracks here.
