Blogging On Oscar Night With Music

We didn't plan on blogging during this year's Oscars but we'll see how long we last until we lose interest.
"Sit your asses down!'
First thing we noticed is that Chris Rock isn't funny. It's not exactly a snoozefest but his jokes were okay but not funny.

The Incredibles won. It was the only animation film that had us in tears with laughter. Aeki Tuesday will be reliving that experience when it comes out on DVD.

What was that song Beyonce sang? First we thought she was singing in Chinese but after reading the closed-captioning we saw that it was French. Someone should have coached her on proper pronunciations. That song was gravely butchered.

Morgan Freeman & Cate Blanchett win for Best Supporting Actor & Actress respectively. Alexander Payne & Jim Taylor win for Best Adapted Screenplay for Sideways.

9:42PM - Aviator count: 4 wins

Musical Interlude #1:

Meet Louix XIV. They are a San Diego band. They make good music. Their full-length will be in stores March 22nd and will be titled The Best Little Secrets Are Kept. Order it on insound.com. Order now and receive a free 42-page louis xiv photo book while supplies last.

Back to the show

10:05PM - Emma Rossum announces the next performance. Beyonce is back with Andrew Lloyd Webber. It's in English! She is sure to fall down with all those diamonds she's wearing.

10:11PM - Laura Linney decided to go elfish this year.

10:15PM - Aviator count: 5 wins

10:23PM - First Ray win (Sound Mixing). Everyone is keeping their speeches short.

10:28PM - Antonio Banderas and Carlos Santana takes the stage. We go to get a quick drink.

10:35PM - Uncle Jesse has a new show on ABC.

10:38PM - So the guy who's been "sitting in a bathtub since 8" practicing his Oscar speech finally broke the 45-second rule.

10:40PM - First Finding Neverland win.

Musical Interlude #2:

Aqualung is Matt Hales . He hails from Southhampton UK. He was a child prodigy. He makes love songs as only Aqualung can. Aqualung will release "Strange Beautiful" on March 22nd.

10:57PM - Josh Groban and Beyonce sings. If you are asking yourself Josh who? If you must know this 23-year old has been know to turn mothers and grandmothers into crazy panty throwing mothers and grandmothers. Josh Groban reigns in Adult Contemporary heaven. Yes, he rules on Lite FM.

11:00PM - Prince! Prince! Prince!

11:02PM - Jorge Drexler wins (Music). There are shots of Antonio Banderas and Melanie "I never got my lips done" Griffith . Jorge sings in spanish instead of giving a speech. Melanie has her head turned to the left and an opened mouth. Apparently years of living with Banderas has proved one thing, she has never understood one word of spanish.

11:05PM - Swank wins again. She thanks her husband, Mr. Chad Swank.

11:18PM - Michael Kaufman, Michel Gondry and Piere Bismuth win for Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind (Original Screenplay).

11:27PM - Jamie Foxx wins.

11:33PM - Martin Scorsese holds back tears as Clint Easton wins Best Director.

11:38PM - Million Dollar Baby wins 4. Clint is back on stage for Best Picture.

11:41PM - Chris Rock says goodnight Brooklyn! Goodnight.
