Woman of the Year?
We had a blast seeing TVoR and Secret Machines this weekend. We finally met The Jean Genie aka Bidi, sweet Bidi (that's her new name now). TVoR played about six songs, which we danced along to. Excellent. They've gotten so much better. And the Secret Machines were sooooo good. Definitely an experience. Check them out next time they play in the city. A certain Yeah Yeah Yeahs member was there rocking out. We had fun hanging out Tunde and some of the other TVoR members. Great bunch of guys.
Sunday, we saw the lovely sisters of CocoRosie and Ratatat at Tonic. These boys and girls were luminous in performance and appearance.
- You got the Black Album, the Black Book on pre-order and the Black S.Dots. It's only fitting that you rock the Black phone.
- MTV's feeling heat from new music station Fuse.
- Ahhhh, the Libertines...they get along...they get along.
Dear Damien Rice,
We missed seeing you earlier this year. We've heard such wonderful things about you from Jinners. So were thrilled to learn that you will be coming back to the US.
xoxo,
your new fan, aeki tuesday
P.S. Please don't wear this sweater. In fact, burn it!

Christina Aguilera is Blender's Woman of the Year.
"Better Christina than Jessica Simpson. They needed to put somebody on the cover who will sell, and in their case, it tends to be pop tarts shot in a suggestive way. They're not going to do that (photo shoot) with Meg White." Although maybe they should...." (via The Denver Post)
