This just in: NY Times just reported that the Record Industry May Not Subpeona Online Providers. A big win for Verizon, it will not be forced to comply with providing subscribers' information to the R.I.A.A. Meanwhile, The R.I.A.A. vows to continue their efforts "Regardless of this decision, we will continue to defend our rights online on behalf of artits, songwriters and countless others (corrected cause NYTimes had "otehrs") involved in bringing music to the public."
