Hey Ya! (the long post)

First and foremost, I must mention that I love iTunes 99-cent per song idea. Within the past couple of months Apple Computers has benefited from this scheme selling more than 20 million songs in less than seven months. Record companies need to look at a new way, as Apple have, to have more consumers. Lower your prices and they will come.

The youthful Casey Kasem will be replaced by the aging Ryan Seacrest as the new American Top 40 DJ. Ryan will make a quick stop at a Brentwood Hills nursing home where he will continue using the ever so popular California Tans system before taking over Casey Kasem's job. Remember Ryan, Lift and turn. Lift and turn!

Rosa Parks sues OutKast for using her name. Shame Shame Shame. The song in question, in my opinion, does not defames her character. Either bad advice or being in need of money might have compelled her to continue this claim.

Speaking of OutKast, click here to read this little nugget. It's an interview with Beck and OutKast back when Stankonia came out.
Interviewer: "What's the deal with all these rappers that retire and then have a huge comeback like a year later?"

Big Boi: "They're positioning themselves to get more money from the label. The label will give them more if they retire, come back, and redo their deal. It's a financial thing. They really don't retire because six months later they dropping a new album. But they smiling, though, 'cause they done got paid." (Yeah, I see you Hova!)
Sheesh! AOL lays off 2% of it's work force. I still haven't received my AOL 9.0 Optimized disk yet.

Many of you may be aware of the flu outbreak in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is now looking to obtain additional doses from Europe due to the flu vaccine shortage. I didn't take a flu shot this year. I think it's time I make an appointment with my doctor.

For those of you who salivated over your old issues of Abercrombie & Fitch quarterlies it will be your last after the A&F Christmas issue. The retailer announced yesterday that it will no longer publish those nude and semi-nude photographs in it's quarterly magazine stating a time for "new thinking and looks forward to unveiling an innovative and exciting campaign in the spring." What? Paris Hilton's sex tape part deux quarterly package?? Either way I am not waiting with bathed breath.

According to Pitchfork Media, Cat Power is touring in December but not any where near NYC. Even more news on Badly Drawn Boy. The next Hour of Bewilderment perhaps?

[ Start Rant ] We here at Aeki Tuesday would like to point out that we do not support anything having to do with Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin as a couple (re: marriage license in Santa Barbara or rumored secret marriage). We were stunned enough with the announcement of their upcoming baby news. Fine, fine, we admit that we were are bitter. So bitter but we do support them in new movies such as Sylvia Plath and promoting Make Trade Fair. [ /End rant ] Curiously enough, Elvis Costello got hitched in England to Jazz singer Diana Krall! Good for him.
