.: The Spirit Whisperer
On my way home from work today I happen to listen to this program on the radio about Spirit Whisperers. Chick Moorman, founder, describes a Spirit Whisperer as "any adult who teaches to a child's spirit." They could be a teacher, parent, bus-driver, secretary, grandparent, or counselor. I found the program very interesting. Chick mentions several situations that he has encountered and also other spirit whisperers stories.
A Spirit Whisperer's primary objective is always development of the student's spirit. They focus on the power of belief, developing an "I can" attitude, creating an internal standard, and teaching and modeling a solution-seeking mindset. They believe that all behavior equals a choice, that being is as important as doing, and that power with is more effective than power over. They set up their classrooms so youngsters can learn that the classroom is more than a place of discovery, it is a place of creation -- the creation of who you are as a human being.I think this is a generally good idea to have. On his site he lists the Spirit Whisperer Idea Exchange, where other Spirit Whisperers share their story on teaching to a child's spirit. I can remember a handful of Spirit Whisperers when I was growing up. Their teachings are still with me to this day.

Update on Gateway.com Customer Service
I finally got a hold of someone LIVE today. Oh, such joy. I explained the situation and I am due to receive an "informative package" in a few days which will tell me what to do with the pc that is currently sitting in my living room unopened. After all is done the extra $989.00 charge should be credited off my account. Yay Gateway! I might start to like them again. Maybe.
