1Take Comedy & A World Class Cabaret Night

I am suffering from major sleep deprivation at this moment due to yesterdays event. The 1Take Improvised Comedy gang at The Gramercy Comedy Club were missing some members due to sickness and such. There wasn't much of an audience either. But the group did the best they could to keep the few people there satisfied. It has become a strange and bizarre custom after seeing 1Take to go to Tens, the gentlemen's club that is right next door. So yet again I was there. I stayed a longer than the last time I went mostly watching whatever game that was on at the various television screens. It is bizarre to see men in there with suits on. You know that they called home to tell their wives or girlfriends that they are working late at the office when in reality they are partial to spending oodles of money at a place like Tens. The drinks are pretty pricey starting at $10 and up for beers or other alcoholic beverages. The announcer kept mentioning that all major credit cards were accepted. Ha ha! I guess after a few minutes at the VIP lounge a few gentlemen are sure to be short on money. I had an awkward geeky moment that night. A few strands of my braids landed by the candle on the table I was sitting at and caught on fire. I was so oblivious to it happening as I was watching the television screen. Maybe it was the $10 beer that threw me but it was put out and I was relieved. It rained yesterday so that meant I was not going to find a cab back to Penn Station. Blah.

My Gateway pc was delivered yesterday and I have yet to open it. I will have to do that on the weekend where I will have more free time. I have so much files on my old pc. It will take a while to transfer them to the new one.

So I received this email about the Johnny Marr & the Healers show moving to the Bowery Ballroom instead of playing at the Mercury Lounge on Jan. 21, 2003 (Tix are $20). It's a strong possibility that I will be there.

And finally...
