Waiting Area
I was finally able to catch Man in Gray at Acme Underground last Friday for their last show of the year. I got there at Acme at 10:15 and stayed until MiG finished which was at 1:25 am. MiG was selling an assortment of t-shirts and I bought one. The one I bought turned out the be one with Bryan's face. I finally met Jenny and Jen who were super nice. Man in Gray made the stage and they rocked the house down. More people came to see their show and sang along to many of their songs. My favorite song was "Incommunicado." I took some pictures with my lame disposable camera (really I should invest in a digital camera soon...I wonder if I will get a bonus from my job this year.) and hopefully they will turn out okay. I will be developing and posting the pictures soon. So after the kick ass show at Acme, I raced out. My last train to Jersey was at 1:47 am. The weather was horrid with the rain and wind. I could not get a taxi for the life of me. Every cab past me by and picked up groups of people in front of me. Argh! I was soaked and I most likely missed my train and then I couldn't even get a cab for goodness sake. Finally I was able to get one but when I got to Penn Station my train had already left. Between the hours of 3 - 5 am I stayed at the waiting area. When I made it back to my house my warm bed welcomed me.
Saturday evening, I was back in nyc trying to do some Christmas shopping and then I was to catch Adaptation at Sunshine with Janine. I didn't get to do either. I did have a really fantastic time hanging out with Janine. We found a perfect bar on 7th Street that served drinks for $3. Needless to say we had more than our share. I went shopping on Sunday and crossed off 5 people from my Christmas list. I am so early this year. Yeah me!
