Longwave, Benzos @ Bowery Ballroom 06.29.05

Longwave was back in New York for a very special show at the Bowery Ballroom last Wednesday. The opening bands were The Picture and Benzos. We didn't make it to catch The Picture's set. Melody Nelson was there and seemed that The Picture put on quite a show.

Benzos were exceptionally great. We loved was their quick set. Benzos sounded like professionals who's been touring for years who has found that thing that makes us love going to shows. Bravo!


Longwave was the last band of the evening. Their set was an interesting one. We were still in a state of high after Benzos set that we thought Longwave couldn't compete. Longwave did come close. The lead singer, Steve Schiltz, voice is not as strong when playing live but what a good band. Throughout the night we feared that some of the members might suffer from instrumental accidents due to the voracity of their playing style. Don't forget to view our Flickr set.
