The Long Weekend: Recap
Aeki Tuesday decided to rest up for 4 glorious days. Meaning very limited internet usage. We shacked up in Jersey for most of this weekend only to return on Sunday. After having a Dark Angel marathon, we realized how bad that show was.
On Friday, we were saddened to hear Luther Vandross' passing. He was one of the greats in R&B.
Saturday was Bob Geldof's Live8. The concert was to coincide with the G8 summit where 7 leaders of the world's leading industrialized and democratic nations meet face-to-face at an annual economic and political summit. Originally, the summit started due to the oil crisis in 1973. The G8 will take place at Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire, Scotland from July 6-8, 2005. The meeting will focus on the issues of global climate change, economic development in Africa, counter-terrorism, non-proliferation and reform in the Middle East. [Wikipedia]

Monday night we were greeted with Nick & Jessica's Tour of Duty. We couldn't sit through another 5 minutes after seeing Paris Hilton's message to U.S. troops. She added her "That's Hot" catch-phrase and we wanted to hurl.
Lawyers for Rosa Parks seeks fees from Outkast. A Detroit lawyer who sued OutKast on Parks' behalf asked a U.S. District judge to award his law firm $220,000 and to divide another $70,000 among three other firms. [Washington Post]

How great would it be if Pink and Avril have a joint marriage? Seriously.
Ladies and Gents, meet Britons most sought after couple.
Finally, a sneaker deal with Reebok may not be enough for 50 Cent. He has inked a deal for a G-Unit watch line, which includes an MP3-playing model for $3,500. To quote Original Cindy, "Don't Be a playa playa."
