CD Release Party, Spektor/Keane Contest & Abandoned Pools
The fine people at spinART Records are hosting a CD Release Listening party for Head of Femur. Recent reviews: "The aural equivalent of a fluffer, Head of Femur's album is a herald of good times, brimming with good humour and invention. While Conor Oberst tries to maintain his malaise against an onslaught of groupie blowjobs, his Bright Eyes drummer is off where the party's at. 8/10" - NME

Warner Bros Records has a great contest for Regina Spektor & Keane fans where you can enter to win a pair of tickets to see them play (Plus win a Photo iPod!). One grand prize winner per city. The contest site also states that a special Regina DVD will be handed out at select dates at the shows.

We've been throwing a few artist your way this week. Today we want you to check out Abandoned Pools. The first new tracks from Abandoned Pools will be released via "The Reverb EP", which is being limited to independent and digital music stores. The EP, due out on June 7, features two album tracks ("Armed to the Teeth" and "Sooner Or Later"), a b-side ("The Catalyst"), a cover (Bjork's "Army Of Me") and new mix of the demo, "Waiting To Panic". The new record Armed to the Teeth is due out this summer.
