Gorillaz News: In-Store Performances!

Gorillaz collaborators Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn are risking the band's wrath, doing in-store appearances the week of release. Murdoc will no doubt be irked at this bald grab for credit (though we hear he's possibly going to be in NYC that week). We have not received comment from him yet, but here are the dates.
May 24 - Newbury Comics, Boston, 7pm
May 25 - Criminal Records, Atlanta, 6pm
May 26 - Virgin Megastore, Union Square NYC, 12-2pm
The above image of Russel comes from illustration-master Jaime Hewlett. He has produced some great Gorillaz Vinyl figures. Kidrobot will be selling the only authorized Gorillaz toys produced in limited edition with the full cooperation of Jaime and the Gorillaz crew. Uber-limited!. Pre-order Gorillaz figures from Kidrobot. They are shipping on May 24th to coincide with the Gorillaz second album.
Collect all four characters and line up the boxes to spell ’GORILLAZ’. The boxes make a great backdrop or display on their own. An alternative red edition colorway will be coming this summer.
