Aqualung @ Irving Plaza - 05.10.05
Last Tuesday, we attended Aqulung's performance at Irving Plaza. It was a nice surprise to see that Irving had set up seats for this event. We found our way in the back and it wasn't long before Cary Brothers to take the stage. We're not familiar with Cary Brothers' music except for his song "Blue Eyes" that ended up on The Garden State Soundtrack. His set ended very quickly. Aqualung's Matt Hales joked around after each song. Apparently, he's in competition to grow a mustache with his brother Ben but had to shave it off for a photo session. Maybe he has heard of Yewknee's mustache challenge. Brighter Than Sushine was the most stand out song of the night. The songs are pretty mellow but Aqualung did try to put a little rock into it last Tuesday. I Rock I Roll was there as well. She has pictures.
