Summerstage 2005: Part II

Summerstage is just a few short weeks away. We've made a list of top shows that gets our stamp of approval.

Sunday, June 26, 2005 - Canada Day! is always great at SummerStage. The show begins at 3PM featuring Tegan and Sara, Ron Sexsmith, Kyle Riabko and East Village Opera Company. Celebrate Brooklyn has an early Canada Day fete on June 25th with The New Pornographers, Stars and The Sadies.

Saturday, July 02, 2005 - The Music of Nick Drake. We're very interested to see this show since we are such fans of Nick Drake's music.

Sunday, July 10, 2005 - Citizen Cope. We love this man. See this man play.

Monday, July 18, 2005 - An Evening with Lyle Lovett. Have you heard this Lyle sing "Ain't It Somethin"' or "Gee Baby, Ain'tI Good To You"?

Friday, August 05, 2005- Pianos in the Park. We would suggest bringing a picnic basket to fully enjoy this night featuring music from Brad Mehldau, Jason Moran and the Bandwagon and Eric Lewis.

Sunday, August 07, 2005 - M.I.A. with Diplo. Sri-Lankan hip-hop star shakes up the park. Her media player is available here.
