Disco Sushi/Drunken Girl
We are working on President's Day folks. It would be nice to be sleeping right now and waking up around noon and watching some show on TV but that's not the deal for today. Today we work. Today we work hard (well, not really).
The weekend was glorious. Why? Because the east coast was blessed with 2 wonderful days. It felt like early spring. On the first night of faux spring, we attended the South / Metric / Pitty Sing show at the Bowery Ballroom. Pitty Sing weren't as good as Ultragrrl said they would be. I found the lead singer's antics as he left the stage questionable. Metric was FANTASTIC. That night I became one of those fans who mouths the words to all the songs. At the beginning of their set, Emily Haines said that she "knows that New Yorkers are all jaded," and that we should get a little more exited or something. And we did get really excited after 3 songs. Jasper was there as well and will have his images of Pitty Sing & South soon. We only stayed for 4 songs for South's set cause we had a birthday party to attend in Williamsburg. Here are some pictures of the performances. Click here for more at Ofoto.

We were trying to get Rich drunk all night. Tales of our own drunkenness, last August, seemed to have spread. A few people remembered that night and wondered if it would be a two-peat. To their disappointment, we held our composure and did not pass out by 2 am. Woot!
