FCC chief Michael Powell, Colin Powell's son, promised a full investigation on the nip exposure stating: "Like millions of Americans, my family and I gathered around the television for a celebration. Instead, that celebration was tainted by a classless, crass and deplorable stunt." The investigation will decide if CBS violated decency laws, with potential fines of up to $27,500. Also CBS may ban JJ and JT from the upcoming Grammy Awards if the investigation shows that JJ & JT schemed in advance to expose.
Janet Jackson made a statement last night: "The decision to have a costume reveal at the end of my halftime show performance was made after final rehearsals. MTV was completely unaware of it," she said. "It was not my intention that it go as far as it did. I apologize to anyone offended - including the audience, MTV, CBS and the NFL."

Robbin Givens critically injured an 89-year-old pedestrian in crash last Thursday. (link American Black) After being hit, the victim fell backward and her right foot was nearly severed, police said. Givens drove for about 10 feet before witnesses flagged her down. The actress stopped her vehicle, walked back to the victim and stayed with her while police and fire rescue workers reached the scene.
New FOX show, Playing It Straight, will ask a female contestant to date 14 sexy bachelors, some gay, some straight and If she picks a straight guy, the couple splits a $1-million prize. if the guy is gay, he gets to keep the entire prize. Hmmm....reality TV overload but props to FOX for effort. NBC can't even compete with that.
Secret Machines to release their album online three months before street date. As part of the Reprise offer, those who buy the album online will receive six free additional downloads, a bundled collection called "Sympathy for the Download 01."
