Just Think. Just Blink.

AZZIP NEPO!

Kanye West's album, The College Blackout, has been floating around for a little over a month now. It's been shared and burned. We got ourself a copy last December. The tracks are tight and will be reviewed soon! Kanye West anticipated as much and re-recorded the LP and adding new tracks for it's Feb. 10th release date. On a BBC Radio interview, West stated that 'The Good, The Bad, The Ugly', 'My Way', 'Home' and 'Keep The Receipt' will not be included on the album. Also, changes were made to other tracks including 'All Falls Down' (aka 'Self Conscious') which had features a sample from Lauryn Hill but will now feature Syleena Johnson, 'Never Let Me Down' will feature a few verses from Jay-Z, and new tracks with Common and Talib Kweli on 'We Don't Care'.

Another anticipated album of 2004 that will leave our toes curled is Madvillain's (collaboration of Madlib and MF Doom) Madvillainy which drops on March 23rd.

Madlib and Beat Junkie J-Rocc will be on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Radio Show on BBC's Radio 1 today. For more check out: www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/urban/peterson... (via Hip Hop Dx)

Many of you might be aware that Melissa Auf de Maur, former Smashing Pumpkins and Hole member, will be releasing an album, Auf de Maur on April 4th. NME just announced that she will be performing at the NME Awards on Feb. 16th. She is currently on tour in the UK with A Perfect Circle.

Yo, Spaulding Gray IS still missing! We sort of feel bad that we were laughing when we saw his kid dancing to a cheesy song a while back at the Trailer Park Lounge. The kid was the only one in the room dancing but we were laughing with him not at him.

Very excited about the new Magnetic Fields record in May. According to the Stephen Merritt website:

The new album, currently entitled i will see Merritt once again colloborating with his 69 Love Songs pals. The album, the band's first for Nonesuch (home to Laurie Anderson, Compay Segundo, and Wilco) will feature 14 songs all beginning with the letter "i". Merritt sings all the songs on the album and will be accompanied by John Woo, Claudia Gonson, and Sam Davol. The band is also in the planning stages of a summer tour, which will see the foursome fanning across the U.S. in late April, May, June, and July in support of i.

Rolling Stone reports on the new Ben Kweller album, On My Way. It will be primed for released on April 6th.

Kweller had this to say about the recording:"So my album was recorded in a mid-Sixties fashion. We were all in one room, with no separation between amplifiers and drums. Usually you can mix everything how you want in your headphones. But a lot of times people end up just listening to themselves and making sure they're playing their part perfectly. So we brought it back to pure old school recording." He will be touring with Death Cab For Cutie this fall. NY Tour Dates: April 6-8 @ Irving Plaza.

When is this coming to the east coast??
