No Room For Squares

We are still scratching our heads about this MTV article where Hip-Hop heads are picking up John Mayer CDs instead of Cristal. Nothing wrong with John Mayer. In fact, at $6.99 we bought his second CD, Room For Squares, a few years ago and quite enjoyed it but then his music got played on the radio relentlessly. Now he's in the Adult Contemporary category which means he's a bore to us. Yawn.

According to Billboard, Bjork, is set to release a "Single Box Set" from 19 singles in her vast catalog which will drop some time in April.

Two new Public Enemy albums to be released by early summer. How Do You Sell Souls to a Soulless People Who Sold Their Souls? and New Whirl Odor . Chuck D. is currently on a lecture tour speaking at several Universities.

He had this to say about his upcoming albums and touches on the nature of rap groups today: "I think this is a year that art can actually speak. But I don't see enough of it being done. I don't see enough attention given to rap groups that might do it, like the Coup and Dead Prez. The industry is presenting rappers as one-dimensional, and that doesn't hold as much water in 2004." (link Rolling Stone)

Meg White is just so cute in a bunny costume. Whirlwind Heat new single, 'Pink', has Meg White posing on the cover. 'Pink' will be available on 7" only and is a new version of the album track, which originally appeared on last year's debut Do Rabbits Wonder.

The Stills, Neko Case, the Decemberits, British Sea Power, Ealimart and others to join Noise Pop, San Francisco's annual indie rock gala on Feb. 24-29.

For Fun part Deux: TLC's Date Patrol Casting Call: For location and time, call 212-398-1393 or e-mail tlccasting@aol. FREE.
Adding to the glut of reality-TV shows, TLC is looking for single twenty—and thirtysomething New Yorkers to sign up for its latest series, Date Patrol. Contestants must be willing to do whatever it takes to improve their love lives, such as enduring mandatory monthlong makeovers at the hands of personal-communication, body-language and style coaches.

The movie Best in Show, really got us into dog shows big time. If you are a dog show fanatic, tune in tonight on the USA Network for the 128th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
