Sony BMG and EMI will use new technologies to copy-protect all music CDs sold in the United States. Sony BMG has already started implementing this technology in new releases including Dave Matthews Band's Stand UP and Velvet Revolver's Contraband. EMI (Coldplay, Norah Jones) will introduce copy-protected CDs in the US & United Kingdom in a few weeks. These new copy-protected discs will limit the number of times people can create copies of music CDs or add individual songs to music mixes.
