. : LOTR & Drunken Gobbledygook
LOTR was amazing as I thought and my arse did not hurt that much from sitting there for three hours. I was soo good as not to finish my value-sized soda so I wouldn't have to go to the bathroom and miss more scenes with someone saying "my precious" over again. I was a little disappointed that Cate Blanchett didn't have more lines. I am sure that the LOTR: The Two Towers Extended Edition DVD will have loads of scenes and I will be content with Cate Blanchett’s presence. Speaking of the Extended Edition of LOTR, they will make loads of $$$ from people for the next two years. Everyone will rush out to get the DVD, then four months down the line the Extended Edition will come out and more people will shed $$ to see those new scenes that couldn't be in the movie. Yay, LOTR! Yay, for my arse not hurting! Yay, for Extended Edition DVDs! Yay, to anyone that says "my precious" after a sentence!
I took my sister to Blue & Gold later that night and we ended up staying there till 4 am!! I mostly stayed because I wanted to hear the songs that I picked in the jukebox to play. My songs, Violent Femmes "Add It Up" and Coldplay "Shiver," didn't play till 3:20 am. Yeah, I got very tipsy and had my share of second-hand smoke. We struck up conversations with these two Danish people working for the consulate. I learned a lot about Danish culture albeit as much as I could remember after drinking a few beers and such. In Denmark, a new law was passed about the drinking age. So now you have to be 15 to drink when before it didn't matter. An average night consists of drinking till 4 am and dancing till 7 am. So we hung out with them until closing time and decided to grab a bite to eat. It was tooo cold to walk around to find a good 24-hour diner. We ended up getting pizza instead. Yummm. Nothing is better than eating some pie at 4 am! We braced the cold again walking one of them to their subway stop. So Yay! What I learned that night, err morning, is that Danish people are totally cool to hang out with, love their beer, can never win a drinking contest with them around, and some of them likes eating pizza at 4 in the morning. Right.
