Get Ready For Kings of Leon

The Kings of Leon are back with a second album titled, Aha Shake Heartbreak. Their 2003 debut, Youth & Young Manhood almost sold double platinum in the U.K. alone. This new North American release is set for February 22nd and finds the band delving deeper than ever into personally-charged rock. We are particularly fond of 70's southern music and are reminded of that whenever Kings of Leon's music is played. This new album has been described as a darker haunting tale, reflecting life-changing experiences during Aha Shake Heartbreak's creation. They are wiser and more reflective
"We were plucked out of nowhere, and we had a lot of fun and did a lot of crazy shit," the singer notes. "But we've also become more serious about this music and more confident in what we're doing. We're growing, but we're trying not to grow up." With that mission statement 2005 will be a good year for Kings of Leon.

“We've written about some things on this record that we’re ashamed of, said things that we wouldn't normally say. We've got some songs about fighting and some songs about loving and some songs about fucking," says Caleb FollowillAha Shake Heartbreak was recorded with producer Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Ben Kweller) and co-produced by Angelo using the Beatles' old Abbey Road mixing desk recorded completely live with no overdubs. NME is already raving about this album, "…A-Ha Shake Heartbreak is gonna piss all over Youth and Young Manhood. Hallelujah!"
