Tegan & Sara @ Bowery Ballroom

Last night Tegan & Sara played at the Bowery Ballroom along with Kimya Dawson & The Honorary Title. Having not heard one note from The Honorary Title, we were quite surprised that they were playing before Kimya. Therefore, totally missing Kimya's set. The Honorary Title's singer sounds a bit like Jeff Buckley and Raine Maida from Canadian band Our Lady Peace. They were quite good. Kimya handed us Fierce Wonderings, Volume I from the Love, Hallie Fondation. Hallie Kassandra Geier was struck by an SUV in front of her home in Queens. Love Hallie is a nonprofit organization building on Hallie's spirit and dedicated to inspiring kindness, respect, and social action among young people, particularly middle-school students. Tegan & Sara will play tonight in Asbury Park at The Saint (601 Main Street Asbury Park, NJ 07712). Kimya Dawson and Nicole Atkins will open. You can still buy tickets.
