Beyond Reasonable Doubt A Jay-Z All StarTribute LP should drop in May (link MTV News):
Artists in and around Jay's Roc-A-Fella Records camp are coming together for Beyond Reasonable Doubt, a tribute album to Jay-Z. The LP will be a double-disc set divided into separate hip-hop and R&B sides — as is fitting for an artist who's scored several hits by merging the two genres.
Meanwhile, Beyonce's crime fighting band, made the news. Drummer Nisan Stewart, guitarist Shaun Carrington and bassist Kern Brantley stopped the carjacking of a 91-year-old man in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Beyonce's daddy said on Thursday: "We try to employ those individuals that fall under the criteria set forth by Beyoncé: talent, passion, work ethics and overall being just a good person." Such a proud papa. The Ladies First Tour kicks off on March 12th. Did you get your tickets?
According to Billboard, Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP" and OutKast's "Speakerboxx/The Love Below" were each certified in February by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for U.S. shipments of 9 million copies. The sets are fast approaching elite diamond status, which the RIAA bestows on releases that have shipped 10 million copies.
