12 August 2003

'cos it already is

Last week's Walkmen show was good despite the rain. Anyway judging from everybody's comments Adam Green gave a fantastic show. I hope to see him perform soon.

A very nice interview by Barbara Matthews of Jenny Lewis is up on Venuszine.com. For those who missed The Postal Service back in May will be happy to hear that they are coming back to NYC in January after playing shows in Europe. Also new Rilo Kiley record drops some time next spring.

More Saddle-Creek news:

Azure Ray is playing at Joe's Pub on 09.02. Azure Ray is set to release their new album, Hold On Love, this fall.

Radiohead & Sigur Ros @ BAM on 10.14 - Holy crap!

According to Pitchfork Clinic has finished recording their third album. Tentatively titled Winchester Cathedral. Clinic fans will have to wait until 2004 to get a peak at the new tracks.

Track Listing:

01 Vertical Take Off In Egypt
02 Falstaff
03 Thank You (For Living)
04 Fingers
05 Home
06 Country Mile
07 Anne
08 W.D.Y.Y.B.
09 The Majestic #2
10 Circle of Fifths
11 Stardust
12 August
13 The Magician

Ted Leo will play at South Street Seaport on 08.14 - more info

Seriously, I agree with Bidi, there is a conspiracy out there because there are at least 11+ shows at the end of August and early September that I want to attend. God help me.

d.real @ mercury lounge - 03.07.03
Tonight I will finally attend Vicious hosted by jenyk.com and melodynelson.com. Of the 4 bands that will be playing tonight, I've only seen Blue Sparks. I was able to catch them when they played back in March at the Mercury Lounge with The Fever, The Witnesses and The Realistic. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I bumped into a certain Divestar (Jo), who was standing next to me clicking away on her camera and singing along to some Realistic songs. That was a really good night.

Currently Listening: Ben Lee - Cigarettes Will Kill You
Currently Viewing: The Duel (so funny!)
