A Sad Day For Pantera Fans
A crazed gunman opens fire at a packed nightclub in Columbus, Ohio killing guitarist Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott and four other people just when Damageplan began playing their first song at Alrosa Villa. Abbott was the original member of Pantera along with his brother, Vinnie Abbott . An officer, who was nearby the club, shot and killed the suspect. (link Billboard)

Fans of Damageplan has been filling up messageboards since the story came out stating this as being the "worst day in metal history."
