: . This Modern World

This recent cnn article reports that a boy in Michigan wore an "international terrorist" shirt with a picture of GWB in the center caused a little controversy at his school. So I googled "international terrorist" and found this. T-shirts, stickers, pins, posters and MP3s. Oh My!

A British doctor says "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man put it in another and have him looking for work in six weeks."

A German doctor says, "That's nothing, we can take a lung out of one person put it in another - and have him looking for work in four weeks."

The American doctor, not to be outdone, says, "You guys are way behind, we just took a man with no brain out of Texas, put him in the White House, and now half the country is looking for work, and the other half is preparing for war."

I am quite bothered by this site which asks you to register and go to Iraq to be a human shield. I am sure there must be a better way around this. With news like this I fear that even more people will sign up and become human shields. On February 26th, United for Peace & Justice, Moving On and Win Without War is asking that Americans "Join the virtual March on Washington." More calls to action are going to take place on March 3-9 (Anti-War Convergence) and International Women's Day (March 28th) in Washington DC. Another anti-war convergence is to be taken place on March 15th [via International A.N.S.W.E.R. ]. Protesting and rallying can do some good to get people aware. It is a much better solution becoming a human shield.

It seems that the weather closed down local highways and cause accidents around my city. My aunt, visiting from Florida, couldn't make it back to my grandfather's house, in Pennsylvania, because the roads were closed due to flooding. Good grief.
