[da BIPS - Bowery Improv Poets]
Yesterday I did my usual support thing by going to The Bowery Poetry Club to cheer and provide good spirits for Galinsky and Co.
I guess word of mouth really worked because The Bowery Poetry Club was packed. I could not find a seat until it was time for da BIPS to take the stage. What's great about TBPC is that you have an opportunity to voice opinions or listen to some really talented people express themselves. If ever you should swing down and see the show be sure to watch for the Bartender (I keep forgetting his name). His poetry is thought provoking if not funny.

She. Is. Hilarious. I was in stitches during her routine. Check out her site for next appearances around the city.
I did it. I read my poem on stage! Since it was the first poem I ever wrote, I told the audience to take pity on me. After I finished, I was shocked and pleased that a lot of people liked it. *Sweet*
At first, I asked Fabienne to read it and say the author is anonymous but then I decided to gulp down my fears of public speaking and just do it. I will see if I can write something new for the next time I go there.
New H&M opened by 34th St. Penn Station. So what if the clothes turn into strings after a few washings, as long as it is CHEAP, right?! They sucked me in by playing The Strokes's Someday and lured me out by having some J-Lo song blasting about 20 minutes later.
With this whole Winona issue in the media, I started looking at some of her old movies. And you know what I still heart you Winona.
