Weekend:

Currently Listening: Warning Sign - Coldplay

Friday -

I ended up going to a birthday party in Brooklyn. It was small and intimate. I met some really cool people. I did not find your friends "nerdy" at all, Kim. I ended up staying in Brooklyn till about 5 am and headed home. I was surprised to find mother awake asking about my whereabouts from the previous day. I did my laundry and went back to bed.

Saturday -

Went back to NYC Saturday night with Fabienne. We caught The Rules of Attraction at the Loews on 42nd. Although the movie had funnier moments, the book was a better read. I wasn't sure if we should have asked for our money back. We headed to Tribe on 1st Ave. off St. Marks Place. The DJ was spinning a real good mix of Hip-Hop and the atmosphere was nice. I was not harassed by drunken Europeans as I did at Niagra on Avenue A. We sampled a few Sambuca's and hailed a cab at 1 am to 34th St.

Sunday -

My Grandfather lives in Chester, PA. We rarely see him so it was such a special treat for the whole family to go down and celebrate his birthday. We left early so we could come back to Jersey before my mother starts work at 7pm. My mother, her boyfriend and my sister were following my Aunt Michelle, who drives with a lead foot, on the NJ Turnpike. We finally made it about two hours later. My grandfather, the renaissance man that he is, cooked up a feast for us. Rice, chicken, baked macaroni, potato salad, beets, cake, cake, and even more cake. Other relatives made their way to his house. My Grandfather had a total of nine grandchildren (Fabienne, Jean-Pierre, Manu (Michelle), Daniel, Patrick, Ariel, Cheryl, Cassie, and Me) and three of his children (My Mother, Uncle Claude, and Aunt Michelle) there. Needless to say it was a very packed house. Cousin Jean-Pierre, who is younger than me by a few months, came with his expecting girlfriend. He is about to be a father! I can't contemplate my life at this point and he is about to bring a child into this world! I finally met the girlfriend and she was sweet. Cousin Ariel, is about 6'2' and she is 14!!! What do they drink up there in Penn??!! We drank, laughed, celebrated, kicked the non-working camcorder to the floor, danced and said our goodbye's.
