[ res reports ]
I got my weekly issue of Res and there was a slew of informative projects in the music and movie worlds that I must share.
Jonze
Spike Jonze has a movie, Adaptation, in the works. He reunites with Charlie Kaufman, Being John Malkovich screenwriter, for the film. The film is a "musing on artistic and personal commitment and self-doubt as well as nature, family and love." By the way, Nic Cage stars.
Jonez's wife, Sofia Coppola, also has a project in the works. Production has been started on her second film in Tokyo, Lost in Translation. It stars Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Giovanni Ribisi and Anna Faris. The movie is basically about a couple's weekend lost in Japan.
Jonze has been a pretty busy guy. Besides doing a commercial for Ikea, he is finishing a video for Bjork's new single It's In Our Hands. Bjork fans will be glad to know that she is releasing a greatest hits collection. Being a fan of Bjork I will say "YAY!!!!"
Pavement
10.22.02 Pavement will release a deluxe two CD reissue of Slanted & Enchanted with rare tracks and such. Be on the look out for a double DVD called The Slow Century from Pavement as well.
That's all for now....
NOTE: 3 posts in a day! I must be stopped.
