i'm making a heartfelt attempt
Hello all you lovely readers,
The AIDS Walk New York event is growing near (May 18th - Central Park) and since my last posting about this I haven't received much support from people. The blame falls on my shoulders for not actively getting the message out there. My fundraising goal is to receive $500 in pledges. At this point, from generous working folks, I now need $425 to achieve my goal. I think that it could be accomplished. I hope.
Last year, I did not walk the event because there was a shortage of volunteers. It looks like I will be doing the same thing this year. I will also be running around from now until May 18th stuffing envelopes, handing out flyers, and other things.
If you want to help out (PLEASE!!) there are many options.
I'm listing them all for you 'cause I like to be thorough:
- Donate
- You could donate.
Anything you could give is greatly appreciated.
There are three ways you could donate:
1. Here is a nifty little form you could use to send your donations directly to AIDS Walk New York.
2. You could go here and make an online donation.
3. Offline Donations - I will also be accepting offline donations for those of you who know me personally.
- Join
- AIDS Walk Blogging Team (cleaver name, huh?)
Fellow bloggers (journals / livejournals / blurty / etc) should join up.
Fabienne and I are thinking about making t-shirts and stuff for those people who want to walk.
- Volunteer
- You could volunteer your time.
We are always looking for more people to volunteer to get the message out.
AWNY on MAY 18th (that's a Sunday)!
Thank you for reading this.
Sincerely,
me
